Quality is the key to a well executed product or service. The construction industry hasn?t highlighted the quality in recent times which have contributed to the construction industry receiving much criticism in the field. The public sees it as an offhanded industry where errors and delays are common.The reason for this is considered to be primarily the lack of time, constant pressure to reduce costs and skills and the ability to communicate between the parties about what the correct quality really means. The industry has begun to realize that it must start setting clearer standards and that there are great opportunities for improvement.This report will give Peab an opportunity to develop their quality work.

The report is based on a survey and studies of Peab business management systems and production literature. For general information gathering has literature from well-known sources collected in libraries and through the Internet. It shows through the work that Peab has routines for experience feedback in the construction process, but that these procedures work in a small scale and the practical work experience feedback does not work at all. Föreliggande rapport behandlar åsikter och inställningar om ackordslön på Peab AnläggningRegion Syd, Projekt/Infra. Synpunkter från hantverkare och tjänstemän har ställts motvarandra för att ge en objektiv bild av vad man anser om ackordslön.En förändring i anläggningsavtalet med SBAF, Svenska Byggnadsarbetareförbundet, harmedfört att den nya huvudlöneformen för anläggare ska vara ackord. Därför görs dennaundersökning för att ansvariga på personalavdelningen på Peab Anläggning Region Syd,Projekt/Infra, ska få en inblick i hur de anställda, som är involverade i produktionsfasen,uppfattar ackordslön.Undersökningen har gjorts genom enkäter och intervjuer med ett antal frågor gällandeackordslön. Frågorna har ett brett spektra och behandlar såväl arbetsförhållanden somlöneuppfattningar. De som medverkat i undersökningen har varierande erfarenheter omackord.SBAF menar att ett prestationslönesystem som ackord är det mest rättvisande och utvecklandeför hantverkarna.

The purpose of the study is to investigate and elucidate how low-cost airlines can influence and develop tourism in a region. In order to bring about the purpose the author used two research questions. Have low-cost airlines contributed to regional development? How many additional visitors have low-cost airlines contributed to Stockholm? In order to answer these questions a survey was carried out at Arlanda airport and statistics were collected. The results of the study show that there has been a regional development.

In autumn 2010, the Division of Civil Engineering at the Swedish building contractorPEAB made a campaign to increase the number of reported incidents. Informationwas sent to the branch manager who was responsible to enlighten the employees onthe establishment. The goal of PEAB Division of Civil Engineering is to have at least 10reported incidents per accident that generate more than 8 hours absence. Therefore,it is important that the employees understand how the report system for incidentsworks. The number of reported incidents differs between regions.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka hur ett varumärke påverkar en stad och dess image. Avsikten med studien är att granska hur varumärket Stockholm - The Capital of Scandinavia har bemötts av utländska turister och om varumärket är så pass exklusivt att det kommer att bestå även i framtiden.En lockande och attraktiv image är en stor betydande faktor för en destination som försöker marknadsföra sig gentemot turister. En image kan exempelvis skapas genom ett varumärke, vilket presenterar och definierar en destination på ett sätt som är lockande för potentiella besökare. Stockholms nya varumärke riktar sig både mot utländska turister och företag i Stockholmregionens näringsliv. Vi har dessutom undersökt hur varumärket marknadsförs och om privatpersoner bosatta i Stockholm på något vis kan hjälpa till att stärka varumärket.Fallstudien handlar om Stockholm Visitors Board, Stockholm Business Region och deras varumärke Stockholm ? The Capital of Scandinavia.

Ett projekt som visar hur Mälardalen kan utvecklas till flerkärnig stadsregion. En hållbar stadsutveckling, med ökad närhet till naturen, ett lugnare tempo och högre livskvalitet. Bakgrunden är att befolkningen förväntas öka med 600 000 - 800 000 invånare i Stockholm-Mälarregionen till 2030. I projektet föreslår jag omfattande investeringar i infrastruktur, bland annat en Maglevbana för att knyta samman städerna kring Mälaren. Att korta restiderna mellan dessa städer är centralt för att skapa en mer integrerad arbets- och bostadsmarknad i regionen.

The thesis objective is to examine whether there is a scientific link between the lack of housing supply and growth. The thesis also intends to identify solutions for increased housing construction, for instance by examining the conditions for a greater regional perspective and influence on the region's housing supply. The thesis empirical study is based on semi-structured interviews with representatives from the Government, municipalities and the housing industry.In Sweden, research on the relationship between housing shortages and growth has not been conducted to that extent it can be said to exist scientific evidence regarding the growth threat. However, in Britain and the U.S, empirical studies show that a lack of housing supply has hindered growth through negative impact on countries' gross domestic product.

The aim of this study is to examine the possibilities to use gamification to reach thepolitical goals for the transportation system in the Stockholm region. The study has aninterdisciplinary approach and is based around two main building blocks: gamificationand the transportation system in the Stockholm region. The first part examinesgamification. This includes contemporary use, debate, academic definition and aninvestigation of how gamified applications should be developed. One of the mainfindings is a suggestion that gamification should be seen as a process rather that a setof predefined game mechanics that can be applied to any activity.

The construction industry stands as one of the industries in Sweden where most employees tend to encounter accidents. At the same time, the Swedish authority of work environment estimates that there are large numbers of hidden statistics with accidents and incidents that never gets reported. To prevent accidents, the Swedish authority of work environment has decided that every company have to, beside report every accident and major incident to the authority of work environment, keep statistics and evaluate every incident that happens at their places of work.The people responsible for work environment at the Swedish building contractor Peab, believe that it is only a fraction of all incidents happening at their construction sites that actually gets reported. The purpose of this study is to investigate the reason why employees of Peab do not report incidents. By an inquiry and interviews with both craftsmen and office holders at Peab Bygg Öst 1, the employees? attitudes and knowledge have been studied and evaluated.The study shows that the craftsmen´s knowledge of incidents is relatively low.

I dagens samhälle spelar ekonomi en viktig roll oavsett om det handlar om företagsekonomi, samhällsekonomi eller den egna privata ekonomin.
